Hypnosis, also referred to as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a natual state of mind similiar to prayer and meditation. It is a gentle trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration. Hypnosis is done using verbal repetition and mental images. When a client is in a state of hypnosis, they usually feel calm and relaxed, are more open to positive suggestions and more open to change.

Hypnosis can be used to help you gain control over undesired behaviors, limiting beliefs or to help  cope better with anxiety or pain. It's important to know that although you're more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you don't lose control over your behavior.

Clinical hypnosis teaches clients how to use a deep relaxation state to address issues such as limiting beliefs, emotional blocks, childhood wounds, test anxiety, financial troubles, internet and gaming addictions, smoking cessation, weight loss, pain relief and many other common human concerns.

Hypnosis has long been used to ease emotions around stress and pain in labor and childbirth.

It is not our bodies but our culture that has made childbirth a moment of anguish, and that when we release the fear of birth, a fear that is keeping our bodies tense and closed, we will also release the pain.

Recent research showed that women who had used hypnosis for childbirth seemed to have healthier babies.

The findings of a systematic review and a randomized controlled trial demonstrated significantly improved outcomes among women who used hypnosis for childbirth. These include enhanced pain relief, diminished need for labor interventions, and improved newborn outcomes. A meta-analysis carried out in 2004 found that significantly less pain medication was needed by women who used hypnosis.

In other studies the hypnosis prepared group had significantly lower use of any analgesia or epidural anesthesia. The researchers concluded that “outcomes are consistently in favor of hypnosis”. They suggested hypnosis could be considered an effective alternative to epidural anesthesia because it is less invasive, not associated with serious complications, and many women seem to find it a more satisfying way of giving birth, handing control back to the mother.

Hypnobirthing is a birthing method that uses self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques to help a woman feel physically, mentally and spiritually prepared. It can reduce awareness of fear, stress and pain prior to and during childbirth.

Clinical hypnosis is an evidenced-based, highly effective tool for helping children in many areas, both physical and emotional. It can be applied to stress, fears, or different types of physical symptoms such as bedwetting, tummy aches, headaches, and tics.

Children ages 5 and up are welcome to utilize hypnotherapy. Sessions are shorter than adult sessions typcially ranging from 30-45 minutes and there is a price discount offered as well.

Teenagers suffer from stress in much the same way as their parents and other adults, even when living in loving homes and surrounded by supportive family and friends. While the actual concern that brings about the stress may be different, many of their emotional and physical symptoms are similar and oftentimes, quite frightening. This is especially true when the stress results from a first time experience, such as changing schools, watching parents divorce, losing a loved one or moving to a new town, and she or he has not yet had the opportunity to learn effective coping skills to help them manage.

More recently with the pandemic hitting our world, teens have been suffering from depression and anxiety at an all time rate, not to mention a emerging concern about internet gaming addictions.

Hypnosis is one of the best treatments for stress; the intervention not only provides suggestions on how to decrease stress but also provides a new answer in how to relax at the same time. Clinical Hypnotherapy provides teens with a healthier "escape mechanism" then things like gaming and social media over use.

Reflexology is more well known these days however its worth noting that it is not a foot massage. It involves applying different amounts of pressure other wise known as acupressure to the feet, hands, and ears and it is based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems. The client sits in an antigravity chair while the therapist starts at the head and works on the ears, neck and shoulders, then moves to the hands and feet. The Reflexology treatment we provide is supplemented with therapeutic grade essential oils, based on the client's preferences, to enhance healing properties.

Although Reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure disease, it is effectively used to complement other treatments when addressing conditions like, stress, infertility, asthma, cancer treatment, cardiovascular issuesdiabetesheadaches, kidney function, PMS, sinusitis and numerous other ailments and common human problems.

In this class the basic, foundational yoga postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.

People come to yoga therapy for a myriad of reasons, but in a larger sense, the practice always has the same goal: empowering clients to care for themselves using mind-body practices and lifestyle changes. So every yoga therapy session—like every yoga class—follows a similar pattern and format. At the same time, however, each yoga therapy session is customized for the client—and because everyone is different, the yoga “prescription” is different for everyone.
